Dr Sumit Mrig is a young, dedicated ENT & cochlear implant Surgeon with special training in the field of cochlear implantation trained by Prof MARIO SANA ( Gruppo Otologica, piacenza ITALY). He has also been trained at SINGAPORE GENERAL HOSPITAL for snoring & sleep apnea surgery.

Prior to his joining here , he was Director ENT & Cochlear Implant surgery at Primus Super speciality hospital , Chanakyapuri Delhi for last 6 yrs . His areas of interest are cochlear implantation , surgery for snoring & sleep apnea, sinus & skull base surgeries & treatment of vertigo disorders .

• Treatment of deafness in paediatric & adult population through cochlear implants , BAHA implants & bone bridge devices .
• Surgery for snoring & sleep apnea disorders.

• 1 st Indian surgeon to start independent cochlear implant programme in Africa.
• Has been a regular invitee AS A MENTOR SURGEON from various institutes across India to start Cochlear Implant Programme & mentored more than 14 centres across india.
• HIS TEAM DID INDIA’S 1st BINAURAL COCHLEAR IMPLANT SURGERY in India in 2011.
• He has recenty being awarded ‘ BHARAT EXCELLENCE AWARD “ for his contribution towards deafness across India.
