HSG Test

About The Test

Hysterosalpingography, or HSG, is an X-beam test to diagram the inner state of the uterus and show whether the fallopian tubes are impeded.

In HSG, a slim cylinder is strung through the vagina and cervix. A substance known as differentiation material is infused into the uterus.

A progression of X-beams, or fluoroscopy, follows the color, which seems white on X-beam, as it moves into the uterus and afterward into the cylinders. Assuming an irregularity looks like the uterus, it will be illustrated.

Assuming that the cylinder is open, the color steadily fills it. The color spills into the pelvic cavity, where the body resorbs it.
